Position Overview:
As a Senior PR Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and executing strategic public relations efforts focused on B2B media pitching while also providing valuable administrative support to the PR department. While prior connections within the pharmaceutical industry are preferred, they are not mandatory.
Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies to increase brand visibility and market presence in the B2B sector.
– Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure press coverage and feature articles.
– Craft compelling press releases, media kits, and other PR materials to effectively communicate key messages and news to relevant stakeholders.
– Create and execute media outreach campaigns, leveraging your existing network and research skills to identify relevant opportunities for coverage.
– Collaborate with internal teams to identify newsworthy angles, stories, and events that align with the company’s objectives.
– Track, measure, and analyze the impact of PR efforts through metrics such as media coverage, audience reach, and engagement.
– Provide administrative support, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and handling other departmental tasks as needed.
– Assist in managing crisis communication situations by drafting appropriate messaging and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
– Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging communication technologies to ensure the company’s PR strategies remain cutting-edge.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations, with a strong focus on B2B media pitching and securing coverage.
– Proven track record of successful media placements in reputable B2B publications.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging content.
– Proficiency in using PR software, media databases, and analytics tools to streamline workflows and measure campaign effectiveness.
– Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage both PR initiatives and administrative tasks effectively.
– Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining open communication with team members.
Preferred: Established connections within the pharmaceutical industry, enhancing the ability to secure relevant coverage and partnerships. Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments, handle pressure, and manage tight deadlines.
Rate: Negotiable based on skills and experience
Schedule: Ideally 9am-6pm EST, Monday to Friday
