Are you a dedicated and experienced educator passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of children with special needs? We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Online SPED Teacher who can provide exceptional academic support, behavioral guidance, and personalized assistance to nurture the growth and learning potential of gifted and special-needs children. The teacher will utilize 2 online teaching platforms to track educational progression. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and secure online learning environment while utilizing innovative teaching techniques and supplementary resources to enhance the student’s educational journey.
Responsibilities:
Develop learning plans that are tailored to the unique needs of the student.
Use evidence-based teaching techniques to support the academic, social, and behavioral development of children with autism and special needs.
Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
Provide a welcoming and inclusive learning environment that fosters the confidence and self-esteem of the student.
Use various tools and resources, including assistive technology and visual aids, to support student learning and engagement.
Encourage student independence and self-advocacy by helping them develop strategies to manage their learning and behavior.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit regular progress reports as required.
Continuously seek professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices for teaching children with autism and special needs.
Requirements and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree holders in Education, SPED units, Psychology, or a related field.
A minimum of 2 years of online and/or in-person teaching experience.
Proficiency in remote teaching methods and technology.
Experience in teaching gifted and talented children.
Experience in teaching children who have Autism and special needs.
Must be fluent in written and spoken English
Excellent communication skills, including communicating complex ideas clearly and effectively.
Strong knowledge of evidence-based teaching techniques and assistive technology.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children with autism and special needs.
Ability to work independently and to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Technical Proficiency – Familiarity with online learning platforms and tools.
Must know how to develop, and construct IDP
Must provide weekly updates on progress.
This is a full-time position where applicants must be fully engaged in the role.
Work Schedule in PH time:
First option: 11 PM – 2 AM and 8 AM to 11 AM
Second option: 11 PM – 5 AM
