Job Position: Remote Video Editor

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and creative Video Editor to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video editing, with a preference for those proficient in DaVinci Resolve, although experience with Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro will also be considered. This role involves a commitment of 20-40 hours per week, with the flexibility to manage your schedule around project deadlines.

Responsibilities:
Edit various types of video content ranging from short-form social media content to professional branding videos.
Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize and execute video projects that align with our brand’s vision and goals.
Ensure the final products are of high quality and delivered within the specified deadlines.
Provide creative input on video projects, including but not limited to, storyboarding, editing, and final touches.
Stay up-to-date with the latest video editing techniques and trends to bring fresh ideas to the table.

Requirements:
Advanced skills in video editing with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve is preferred; however, expertise in Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro will also be considered.
Experience in photo editing, graphic design, is a significant plus.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
Excellent communication skills and ability to provide a short report discussing the thought process behind your edits and areas for improvement.

Editing Test Details:
Objective: Create a vertical social media reel.
Length: 30-120 seconds.
Content: We have provided a link to a Google Drive folder below, containing three videos. Your task is to use this footage to create the reel.
Creative Freedom: We encourage you to use your creativity and editorial judgment to decide how best to engage the audience. Feel free to apply any editing techniques you believe will showcase your skills and enhance the content’s appeal.

Skill Test Report Requirement:
In addition to the video reel, please submit a brief report that addresses the following points:

Creative Process: Outline your approach to editing the provided footage, including any creative decisions you made.
Technical Details: Highlight the editing tools and features you utilized.
Reflection: Offer a self-assessment of your work, noting strengths, areas for improvement, and any challenges you faced.
Time Management: Describe how long the entire editing process took, detailing any significant transitions, learning moments, and the time allocation for each stage of the editing process. The more detailed your report on time spent editing, the better.

This report is crucial for us to understand your editing style, problem-solving skills, and ability to evaluate your own work.
