Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced WordPress Developer to join our remote team. As a WordPress Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our clients’ WordPress websites. If you are passionate about WordPress development, have a strong understanding of hooks, filters, and other programmatic WordPress functionalities, and thrive in a remote work environment, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with our design and development teams to create visually appealing and functional WordPress websites.
Customize and extend WordPress themes and plugins using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Utilize hooks, filters, and other programmatic WordPress features to enhance website functionality and meet client requirements.
Optimize websites for speed, performance, and search engine optimization (SEO).
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to WordPress websites.
Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and best practices.
Requirements:

Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer, with a strong portfolio of WordPress projects.
In-depth knowledge of WordPress development, including hooks, filters, custom post types, and other programmatic WordPress functionalities.
Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development, customization, and debugging.
Familiarity with responsive web design principles and mobile optimization techniques.
Strong understanding of website performance optimization, SEO best practices, and security standards.
Experience working with the Roots theme and LifterLMS plugin.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients.
Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with popular WordPress frameworks and libraries, such as Genesis, Elementor, or WooCommerce.
Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
Knowledge of front-end frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation.
Understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.
Experience with other CMS platforms, such as Drupal or Joomla.
