Repurpose YouTube videos For Snapchat & Facebook

We’re looking for a driven, self starting Video Editor to edit dynamic social media video content for YouTube, Facebook, Snap, Tik Tok and Instagram. This includes repurposing original content from our creators and original social media shows onto other platforms. The ideal candidate will be able to follow a process and style guide developed by our Creative Director and strategists, as well as have the ability to evolve and come up with their own improvements based on learnings from their previous edits. There will be deadlines that must be met in order to maintain output schedule for the projects they are responsible for.

This person will:

– Repurpose already finalized 16:9 10 minute+ video content into 9:16, 1:1, and 5:4 formats. Content must be reformatted and recut to be optimized to the needs of each social media platform utilizing on our existing style guides and formats.
– Edit video content from projects that are handed to them in the formats that are required for effective optimization.
– Utilize text graphics / animations and develop burned-in subtitles
– Execute on notes from strategists and page managers.
– Be responsible for the output schedule for projects and creators they are given.
– Collaborate with other video editors sometimes on the same projects.
– Suggest improvements that can be made to editing styles or formats.
– Maintain video editing quality consistently week over week.
– Attend strategy meetings for video editing improvements.

You Have:

– 1+ years of experience in editing for social media viral content.
– 3+ years of experience consuming social media.
– An example where your editing previously went viral or was successful.
– Understanding in what makes a video perform in recommendation algorithms.
– A strong ability to use Adobe Premier and the full Creative Suite.
– A strong ability to collaborate with others.
– A strong interest in general social media culture.
– Self-starting ambition, curiosity, and fearlessness.
– A positive mindset with a desire to grow as a person and professional.
– Fluent in English language.
