We’re seeking a dedicated Research Analyst to join our team and play a crucial role in identifying and evaluating potential media acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Research and Prospect Identification (40%):

Utilize various databases and research tools to identify prospects that meet our criteria.
Conduct in-depth research on bankruptcy documents, distressed companies, and potential media assets.
Engage in primary research by calling lawyers, business owners, and service professionals to understand prospect priorities and unique needs.
Segment and upload data into our CRM () and continuously update prospect lists.
Monitor list quality and downstream conversion rates, identifying opportunities for improvement.

2. Outreach and Engagement (40%):

Personalize message templates using data from primary research to make outreach more effective.
Execute outreach campaigns through platforms like LinkedIn, email, SMS, and calls using provided scripts and personalized data.
Monitor and track the performance of all outreach efforts, reporting on conversion rates weekly.
Propose A/B experiments to enhance the effectiveness of outreach campaigns.

3. Meetings and Follow-ups (20%):

Aim to schedule meetings with Andrew Glaze when engaging with prospects through various channels.
Responsively follow up with prospects to address questions, data requests, and introductions.
Maintain a detailed record of all offers of intros, follow-up requests, requestors’ names, request dates, and completion statuses.
For follow-up requests, prioritize addressing the request and requesting a meeting with Glaze.
Additional Responsibilities:

Create comprehensive industry and company presentations and financial models using primary research.
Collaborate on financial modeling for leveraged M&A and special situation (distressed) transactions.
Track and report via Dashboard the percentage of meetings scheduled from opportunities identified.
Monitor and report on the percentage of opportunities converted to closures.
Track and report other key KPI’s via Dashboard

1. Research Proficiency:

Strong research skills, including the ability to read and analyze bankruptcy documents.
Proficiency in using various databases and research tools.
Adept at conducting primary research to gather critical information.
2. Effective Communication:

Excellent communication skills for engaging with lawyers, business owners, and service professionals.
Ability to personalize outreach messages and convey complex information concisely.
Strong listening skills to understand prospect needs.
3. Financial Acumen:

Understanding of finance, financial modeling, and the ability to analyze financial statements.
Experience in cold calling and engaging with business prospects is preferred.
Familiarity with CRM tools and email automation platforms.
Performance Metrics:

Target to find 40 quality leads per week.
Achieve 40 outreach touches per week.
Aim to schedule 5 meetings and follow up on 5 leads per week.
Monitor and report on opportunities-to-closure conversion rates.
