Job Description

We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our team and support our public health, gender and sexuality, and HIV research activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting literature reviews, synthesizing research findings, and producing high-quality summaries of relevant literature for use in research papers, grant proposals, and other documents.

As a Research Assistant for our public health, gender and sexuality, and HIV research, you must be comfortable with talking and researching sensitive subjects of an intimate nature. The ideal candidate will possess the following:

Responsibilities:
• Conduct literature reviews on specific topics related to public health, gender and sexuality, and HIV research, and synthesize research findings from relevant publications.
• Collect, organize, and manage large amounts of data related to the literature review process.
• Develop and maintain an up-to-date database of relevant literature sources.
• Produce high-quality summaries of literature for use in research papers, grant proposals, and other documents.
• Collaborate with other research team members to ensure the literature review process aligns with project goals and timelines.
• Participate in team meetings and provide updates on progress.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in public health, gender, and sexuality, or a related field.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with experience conducting literature reviews and synthesizing research findings in public health, gender and sexuality, and HIV research.
• Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality summaries of relevant literature.
• Comfortable working with and discussing sensitive subjects of an intimate nature related to public health, gender and sexuality, and HIV research.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large amounts of data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with reference management software (e.g. EndNote, Zotero).
• Experience working on research projects in a team environment is desirable.

We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience and paid time off. This is a full-time position renewable based on performance and funding availability.
