You don’t need to have specific experience in this area to be successful in this role. We are looking for someone who enjoys doing research, compiling their notes & ideas and creating well-structured, well organized, and clearly written materials. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming a collection of materials we’ve already created (videos, emails, pdfs, templates, personal notes, and conversations with my team) into well-structured and marketable written content like how-to guides, blog articles, eBooks, instructional materials, video scripts, etc. You will be working closely with me to turn these ideas and materials into these types of written content.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES WILL LIKELY INCLUDE:
-Carefully watch and analyze provided videos to gain a deep understanding of the subject matter and content, adapting it for written formats.
-Read and interpret emails, templates, and other materials to extract key information and insights to be included in your written materials.
-Develop clear and comprehensive outlines of the content, integrating various materials cohesively and ensuring logical flow.
-Craft engaging and educational written content, maintaining a consistent and accessible style throughout.
-Collaborate closely with me to ensure that the content accurately reflects my expertise and vision, maintaining alignment with the intended audience and purpose.
-Manage the technical aspects of document formatting, ensuring optimal readability and accessibility across various digital platforms.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS LIKE:
-Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an engaging and accessible manner.
-Any experience in research, content writing, or a related field, with a focus on writing explanatory materials.
-Strong organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple aspects of a project independently.
-A proactive and problem-solving approach, capable of transforming ideas and notes into a structured and educational written format.
-Strong research skills, ensuring the content is informative, accurate, and up-to-date.
COMPENSATION:
The position is designed in a flexible freelancer style, accommodating either part-time or full-time commitment until the completion of the job. The initial compensation will be $6 per hour for the first two months. After a two month trial period, the pay rate will increase to $7 per hour.
Looking towards the future, if the collaboration is successful, we will have you creating more materials and managing the creating, writing and development of much more material. The compensation would increase to between $8 and $10 per hour, depending on the success and performance of the materials.
Over a period of 3 to 5 years, as the role potentially expands into being our managing editor and overseeing the team and overall operations. The hourly rate could be higher for the managerial position. This progression reflects the increased responsibilities and the pivotal role in the growth and success of the course business.
