Role and Responsibilities of the RESEARCH EDITOR
About the Role: The Research Editor will be joining the Central Creative team at ARTiSTORY. Remote working is possible for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Roles Related To Central Creative
a) As part of the Central Creative team, Research Editor will assist in identifying and developing art and cultural IP themes and contents based on global fashion trends, trending social topics and major exhibitions and events rolled out by museum partners and pop culture partners.
b) Work with the Central Creative team in selecting the appropriate artefacts and artworks from our IP partners collection for each of the themes that we develop and consult with IP partner curatorial teams when needed. Develop short articles and narratives for each of the themes and caption of artefacts that have been selected by the creative team.
b) The Research Editor shall engage with both the Merchandising team and the Location-Based Experience (LBE) teams, including the Shanghai Museum Box team (an affiliate of ARTiSTORY operating the Cambridge LBE project), to select appropriate artifacts and artworks from our IP partners’ collections. The role involves determining which items will be featured, conceptualizing merchandise, and other related responsibilities. Moreover, the Research Editor will produce detailed captions that accurately describe and contextualize the selected artifacts and artworks.
c) Work closely with the ARTiSTORY international teams of creative designers and in helping the company complete the development of themes, and sales proposals, in time and under budget.
d) Work closely with IP partners in terms of the approval process of the themes, artefacts, narratives etc.
Roles Related to Sales Creative
a) Work closely with clients’ product design and development teams to ensure clients are able to develop high quality products inspired by our themes.
b) Assist clients in their product approval by the museum partners.
c) Compile case studies from the industry and museum partners.
Roles Related to Document Management
a) Work closely with Deputy Head of Central Creative, and be responsible for file sharing and asset management via Microsoft TEAMS, FLOWHAVEN and other designated platforms so ARTiSTORY international teams can have access to all themes, design assets and sales pitch documents that are editable.
b) Ensure the naming standards are followed and updated when archiving documents onto the platforms above mentioned.
c) Be familiar with ARTiSTORY’s standard documents, which includes but is not limited to templates, fonts, layout, and other design guidelines.
Other IP-related tasks assigned by the Deputy Head of Central Creative
a) Contribute one posting each week for ARTiSTORY social media, illustrating the themes, artifacts and product mock-ups that Central Creative has developed. The draft shall be prepared by Research Editor and sent to Marketing team for posting.
