Job Title: Research Specialist Lead
Reporting To: Brand Manager

Work Hours: Flexible (maximum of 50 hours per month)

JOB SUMMARY

The Research Specialist is responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing opinions and data to solve problems, explore issues, and predict industry trends specializing in science, medicine, and psychology, among other fields related to the content development of 7D VARIETY.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

1. Conducting in-depth research on industry-related topics in order to assist in developing original content for 7D VARIETY — focusing mainly on pre-research work before content articles are written.
2. Interpreting research specifications and developing a work plan that satisfies requirements.
3. Conducting desktop research, and using books, journal articles, newspaper sources, questionnaires, surveys, polls, and interviews to gather data.
4. Analyzing and interpreting patterns and trends.
5. Recording findings by taking written notes and using appropriate software.
6. Anticipating research issues and promptly resolving them.
7. Following a strict code of ethics and protecting any confidential information at all times.
8. Writing proposals and delivering presentations when required.
9. Talent acquisition (as needed) and task management of outsourced Research Specialists for Editorial Pre-Research tasks, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
10. Regular updating and management of the Research Library and Research Archive.
11. Collaboration with other departments for any deliverables required or assigned to the R&D Department.
12. Development and management of the overall Research Process and Strategies.
13. Quality monitoring of published research/references on the 7D VARIETY on a regular basis.
14. Run and communicate project timelines, deliverable types, resourcing, and budgeting needs.

QUALIFICATION NEEDED

1. At least THREE (3) years of research experience
2. At least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Food Science/Technology, Nutrition, Dietitian, or similar
3. Thorough knowledge of industry trends, specifically science, health, wellness, and psychology.
