Job Description

Various tasks which may slightly change over time.

This is a job to work for me personally, to help me as an assistant with my startup financial software business, help manage my personal investments, and as a personal assistant to me.

This is a long-term position. I intend to invest in training so I need someone who will stay.

The most important requirement is that you be smart. If you don’t have particular skills I need, that is fine. You can learn those skills (while being paid).

This job requires a computer and decent internet connection. You will need to be able to install things on the computer. You will need Windows. All other software will be provided. Please let me know what sort of computer and internet connection you have.

Ideally you already are good at using Excel.

Managing my personal investments:
– Investment research. Don’t worry if you don’t already know about this. You will be given paid time to learn. You will be paid to do courses before the actual research.
– News analysis. Check the news to see if there is anything relevant to my investments or otherwise relevant to me and let me know what you find. Occasionally I might ask you to urgently find out what is going on with a business for example to find out why a stock has moved. I am also interested in geopolitics and how that effects stocks so I will ask you to read and possibly summarize what is going on with geopolitics.

Help with my startup business:
– In the future I might ask you to help test software I am writing for my startup business.
– In the future I might ask you to help with project management.
– In the future I might ask you to help with planning of the software project.

Personal assistant:
– Manage my calendar
– Occasional online shopping, e.g. ordering groceries for me
– Rare. Travel planning
