Merchant Savvy is looking for a researcher / business writer to create data-rich content related to various business topics.
This content will be published on , a successful UK website that helps small businesses save and reduce their costs and choose suppliers.

This role requires top-class research skills as well as good judgment about what data we publish in order to become a trusted data source for journalists and business bloggers. Note that an editor will assist you in producing the written copy in the final article – the main focus of this role is the data we publish.
Key Responsibilities
– Research salient information related to various business topics across multiple sources (you will be given the topics and outline for the articles).
– Record raw data in Excel or Google Sheets / Docs
– Combine or analyse data sets in Excel or Google Sheets so data can be presented from a new perspective (e.g. showing trends over time, converting data to percentages etc).
– Pick out the key data points to highlight (e.g. what are likely to be picked up by journalists or business bloggers).
Requirements/Experience
– High aptitude for independent research
– Strong analytical skills and experience using Excel
– A commitment to comprehensiveness and accuracy
– A feel for what data and statistics business journalists or bloggers are likely to be searching for.
