Gearank Group is an Australian-based online media company now in its 25th year of business. We publish information on live performance, studio recording, and music equipment.
and are leading providers of ratings and recommendations for music equipment. We strive to provide the most thoroughly researched information about music gear. We tell readers which items are best for a particular musical purpose and report on the music communities’ likes and dislikes of individual products. We are currently doing a full renovation of both these sites.
We have proprietary tools and systems within our content management system (CMS), for which we will provide training so that you will be able to understand and conduct product research. The work we do affects the purchasing decisions of thousands of musicians around the world, with a particular emphasis on those who live in the USA.
The successful applicant will be responsible for researching product reviews and recording the information. You will be required to carry out extensive research on different music equipment products and produce a summary report of useful comments and product insights that our writers will use to write articles. You will be using WordPress and Microsoft Excel and Word to record information. In addition, you will assist staff in clerical tasks. Your English must be very good. You will be collaborating with our small team of musicians and audio engineers who will guide you. Our topics are all centered around musical instruments and equipment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn and grow in their role.

The following requirements are essential:
• Very good English communication

• Must have a suitable working space, a reliable computer, and a good internet connection.
The following would be beneficial but are not required:
• Experience as a guitarist, musician, producer, audio engineer, or DJ – either as a hobby or professional
• Experience with WordPress or web development.
• Experience writing or editing long-form English language articles
• Photography Experience.
• Virtual Assistant experience.
• Graphic design experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Researching information for articles.
• Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Keyword Research.
• Assisting in administrative tasks.
• Providing daily work summary reports
Wages:
• You will be required to submit weekly time and productivity sheets and will receive weekly payments electronically.
• Your specific monthly rate will be agreed upon before you commence work.
We are located in Australia and will communicate with you using Google Meet, Zoom, Skype, and email. Our main communication is carried out through Slack, which we will provide you with and train you in. You will be required to be logged on during working hours Monday to Friday – you can work between 7am to 3pm or 9am and 5pm – specific times are negotiable.
Written applications will be taken initially, and Job Interviews will be conducted through Google Meet. Applicants who pass the first stage of this process will be assigned a short task to verify design skills.
