The Loan Processor role is a key leadership position for SOHO Realty & Mortgage. As a Loan Processor, you will be responsible for accurately processing and documenting loan applications, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Your role will involve working closely with loan officers, underwriters, and borrowers to gather and verify all necessary information for loan approvals.

We are seeking an exceptional individual who can handle client-facing responsibilities with confidence, maintain attention to detail, and proactively drive transactions to successful closings.

This is a FULL TIME 40 hours/ week position.

This is a long term career opportunity, with 13th month and benefits after 90 days of successful performance. In exchange we require an exclusive commitment, no outside project, clients, freelancing or P/T jobs.

Must be willing to work US hours. You have at least 2 years experience working US hours..

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

* Proven experience as a loan processor or similar role in the mortgage industry
* Experience working from SMALL SHOPS with a loan officer to LARGE mortgage companies and corporations.
*A deep understanding of the mortgage industry, including knowledge of loan products, underwriting guidelines, documentation, automated underwriting systems and regulatory compliance is crucial.
*Eagerness to learn and stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes to provide accurate information to clients.
*Effective communication is essential to interact with clients, loan officers, underwriters, and other stakeholders.
*Ability to explain complex mortgage concepts clearly and concisely, listen actively to clients’ needs, and provide prompt responses to inquiries.
*Strong attention to detail to identify any discrepancies, errors, or missing information that could impact the loan process.
*Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously while prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and efficiently handling paperwork to ensure a smooth loan process for clients.
*Ability to address challenges that may arise during the loan application process, analyze situations, identify potential solutions, and make informed decisions to overcome obstacles and provide exceptional service.
*Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to changes.

*Exhibit a customer-centric approach, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism while assisting clients throughout the loan process.

*Willingness to embrace technology and be proficient in using loan processing software, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and other tools relevant to the industry.

*Adhere to legal and ethical standards in all aspects of loan processing. Stay informed about relevant regulations such as the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) and the Truth in Lending Act (TILA) to ensure compliance.

*Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to changes in regulations, industry practices, and technology. Attend training sessions, industry conferences, and pursue relevant certifications to stay ahead.
* Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and protecting sensitive information.
* Like routine and knowing what to expect each week
* Excel at task management. Reliable and dependable to get consistent tasks done each week.
* Understand how to prioritize client requests and deliver exceptional customer service

* Demonstrate a solid typing WPM (ideally 45 wpm+)
* Excel at getting tasks done accurately and efficiently the FIRST time
* You are tech-savvy & figure out new tools without much hand-holding
* You excel at creating workflow efficiencies and using automation to save time

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

* Outreach to clients- phone, email, etc
* Review and analyze loan applications, financial documents, and credit histories to ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Verify borrower information, including employment, income, credit history, and assets
* Communicate with clients, loan officers, underwriters, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and provide updates on loan progress.
* Maintain a high level of organization and manage multiple loan files efficiently, meeting all required deadlines.
*Solve problems and address challenges that may arise during the loan application and processing stages.
* Submit completed loan files to underwriting for approval, and Ensure compliance with industry regulations and ethical standards in all loan processing activities.
* Monitor and track loan progress, keeping all parties updated on the status
* Coordinate loan closings and ensure all necessary documents are prepared and signed accurately
* Stay abreast of industry developments, regulations, and best practices through continuous learning and professional development.
* Provide exceptional customer service by understanding and addressing clients’ needs, ensuring a positive experience throughout the loan process.
* Help Desk Support
* Outreach & engagement with clients
* FB group- announcements & reminders
* Calendar management & updates in Gcal
* Creating FAQs based on questions from the community
* Creating a “place” for everything within Gdrive
* Collaborating with solutions for efficiency

Experience with technology & tools:

* EXPERT in Clickup or any other project management system
* EXPERT in Loan Operating Systems – Experience in Calxy/ Lending Path is PLUS
* Time Doctor (or other time tracking systems)
* Gdrive & all Google Workspace Tools
* Slack
