WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE AS PPC MANAGER

Manage and lead all Amazon PPC ad campaigns with an overall TACOS less than 17.5%. Provide recommendations and execute strategies for keyword harvesting opportunities, campaign structuring, targeting, and display network.

A successful PPC Manager functions as the lead advertising strategist for product category managers. They meet with category managers weekly to discuss product category analytics dashboards, reports, highlight new keywords that have been harvested and point out opportunities for growth.

They have a never ending desire to stay up-to-date with the latest changes and updates to the Amazon advertising platform to ensure the product categories that you manage are using the latest best practices and approaches.

They are able to grow sales while maintaining a total sales from advertising percentage between 35-45%. For new products they are able to keep ACOS under 100% and mature products are kept under their break even percentage on a monthly basis.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES 20% BIG ROCKS – These must be done first and at all costs.

1. Work with Optimization Managers to manage & optimize mature product category ad campaigns to ensure that no more than 3 product categories are above their target ACOS in a given month.

2. Work with PPC Assistant to manage & optimize new product category ad campaigns to increase sales while optimizing for an ACOS less than 100% month.

REGULAR WORK ACTIVITIES 80% – These must be done ongoing daily/weekly after the BIG ROCKS are complete.

1. Compiling daily, weekly, monthly, and lifetime reports with key performance metrics to quantify results and communicate findings and insights to product category managers.
2. Preparing advertising schedules and timelines for new product launches.
3. Perform daily optimization techniques, including but not limited to, bid adjustments, negative keywords, keyword additions, and structural changes.
4. Work with team members to create and test new ad creative and copy.
5. Stay up-to-date with Amazon PPC developments, trends, techniques, tools, and best practices.
6. Manage and communicate with product category managers daily on reports, insights, questions and requests.
7. Work with product category managers to develop budgets and optimize for ROI, reevaluate ROAS, ACOS, and revenue goals.
8. Preparing advertising schedules and timelines for seasonal product spikes

ROLE REQUIREMENTS Experience, Training, and Education – What prior work and life experience will help the person in this role succeed? (Education, industry-specific, sales, administrative, management, customer-service)

– Expertise with either Amazon PPC or Google Ads/Microsoft Ads strongly preferred
– Advertising agency experience preferred
– Someone who seeks out issues and owns driving solutions to them, while keeping all resources informed of progress
– A proactive learner and able to demonstrate exceptional deductive reasoning skills
– Eager to learn new skills
