Revit & CAD Architectural Drafter – QA/QC

A US-based architectural drafting company is looking for a remote drafter to work on AutoCAD & Revit projects.

You will work on as-built drawings of a project and your role will be to double check our team work based on 3D scans, field sketches, field measurements, photos, videos, and point cloud files.

Your job is very important to ensure we deliver highly-accurate, highly-detailed drawings to our clients and other team members.

Role Name: Quality Control Manager

Duties & Responsibilities:

– Study buildings we measure and document to ensure familiarity with the space.
– Understand scope of work and project requirements.
– Compare field notes & field data to drawings produced for projects
– Perform measurements within AutoCAD and/or Revit to double check placement of the different arch elements.
– Provide markups and notes on Pdf if mistakes are found in the drawings for our team members to check & fix.
– Follow our drafting standards and suggest improvements to our systems & processes.
– Check-in daily with your manager and provide updates on your progress

– Willingness and ability to learn new software tools and adapt or develop new strategies.
– Can work independently with minimal supervision.

Credentials & Experience:

– +5 years experience in the architecture & construction industry.
– Advanced Revit user
– Must be familiar with inches & feet (Imperial Units).
– Must have some familiarity with using Point Clouds.
– Experience in fast-paced work environment that requires handling tight deadlines.
– Experience & knowledge matters more than degree & certification to us.
