Mod Hauz is a fast-growing Modular Home construction company in Australia, with plans to expand rapidly in the next 24 months. Part of that expansion involves the manufacturing of shipping container homes in Manila, to then transport back to Australia, for the Australian construction team to then install on our clients sites.
The Founder & CEO lives and works in Fort Bonafacio (Manila), having returned to the Philippines after selling his BPO back in April 2023. You will meet with the CEO 1-2 times per fortnight in BGC for face-to-facd catch-ups.
The Role:
Reporting initially to the CEO in a hybrid and local role, your primary responsibilities will be assisting with the overall operations of the business, from managing the operations dashboard, to creating templates within that system; running payroll for the Australian team; balancing the books (Xero, about 2-5 hours per week); sourcing suppliers & contractors in Australia and locally; preparing all construction paperwork/certificates for our Australian outsourced certifier; creating & maintaining rolling cash flow forecasts within Google Sheets; Updating SOPs within Zoho Connect; creating SOP flowcharts within Creatley; Updating the CRM and creating & updating templates within the CRM.
The Person:
This is a very diverse role requiring a high IQ/EQ candidate, who will essentially function as the 2IC to the CEO. You will be trained in every aspect of the business and will be mentored by the CEO and will be (if not already) transformed into a brilliant critical thinker capable of making high level decisions on the fly. You will be well versed in operations processes, flowcharts, process mapping. You will be an outstanding communicator, with excellent written and spoken English. As the company commences local construction of shipping container homes, you will play a pivotal roles in this expansion, sourcing & negotiating yard/factory locations, suppliers and more. Given the dynamic nature of the financial side of the business, it is preferable that you have a background in finance (and experience in Xero) as it is highly intertwined with the operations side. Having said that, if a superstar candidates emerges who does not have experience with the financial side, an exception may be made.
The remuneration package:
The salary reflects the seniority of this role. This is NOT the typical VA role.
For the 1st 6 months, the base salary will be 45,000php, with a 10,000/month bonus payable based on performance scorecard being met. After 6 months, the base increases to 50,000php and 20,000php annual HMO will be purchased for you. You will also receive an annual Christmas bonus (13th month) & 20 days of combined annual/sick leave. As you can see, this is not your typical VA remuneration package.
