Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Revenue Manager to join our dynamic team in managing short term rentals. As a Revenue Manager, you will play a crucial role in maximizing the profitability of our short term rental portfolio through strategic pricing, demand forecasting, and revenue optimization techniques.

***Responsibilities***

1. Revenue Optimization: Develop and implement effective pricing strategies to maximize revenue and occupancy across our short term rental listings. Continuously analyze and adjust rates based on market demand, competition, and seasonality.

2. Demand Forecasting: Utilize market trends, historical data, and industry insights to accurately forecast demand for our short term rentals. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align promotional activities with demand fluctuations.

3. Channel Management: Oversee the distribution of our short term rental listings across various online travel agencies (OTAs) and booking platforms. Optimize channel mix to maximize visibility, bookings, and revenue.

4. Performance Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) on a regular basis, such as revenue per available room (RevPAR), average daily rate (ADR), and occupancy rate. Identify revenue growth opportunities and provide actionable insights to improve performance.

5. Competitive Analysis: Conduct regular market research to stay informed about competitors’ pricing strategies, positioning, and market trends. Implement strategies to outperform competition and maintain a competitive edge.

6. Revenue Reporting: Generate regular reports and dashboards to track revenue performance, present findings to the management team, and provide recommendations for revenue enhancement. Utilize revenue management software and tools effectively.

7. Collaborative Relationship: Collaborate closely with the operations, marketing, and sales teams to align pricing and revenue strategies with overall business objectives. Maintain open communication channels to ensure seamless coordination among teams.

8. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements in revenue management techniques, and the evolving short term rental market landscape. Leverage new technologies and tools to enhance revenue management practices.

***This role will start with a $12,000/yr salary and up to an additional $2,000 in bonuses in your first year.***

***Great Candidates Have***:

– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications in revenue management are a plus.
– Proven experience working as a Revenue Manager, ideally within the short term rental industry.
– In-depth knowledge of revenue management principles, pricing strategies, and market dynamics.
– Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with proficiency in revenue management software and tools.
– Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
– Detail-oriented and proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
