We need you to take ownership for a portfolio of clients and be their trusted finance partner. You will be performing tasks relating to day-to-day accounting tasks, month-end, year-end accounting adjustments, financial statement preparation, tax return, and other ad-hoc requests from clients managed by you.
You will work closely with our team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations.

JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for a proactive, outcome-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee and be responsible for a portfolio of clients to ensure that they are well-serviced throughout the year. The successful candidate will be our first senior-level full-time hire in the Philippines and a key member of the firm.
You will work with a small and growing team of awesome people. We’ll provide extensive training where you need it.
Main Responsibilities:
– Being an Account Manager for client portfolio (client onboarding, software set up, etc.)
– Preparing reports about GST (quarterly) and reviewing income tax lodgement (yearly)
– Tax planning (annual)
– Ad hoc
– client queries (tax, bookkeeping, accounting)
– client onboarding
– software set up
– Mentoring future PH Bookkeepers and Junior Accountants
We primarily work with Xero.

PAY
Based on ability and experience, ranging from Php 100,000-110,000 per month, for this full-time role. If you believe you have more to offer, tell us what you’d like and why you’re able to deliver more value.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
– Honest
– Reliable

– Strong MS excel skills
– Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
– End to end bookkeeping experience
– 3+ years Australian tax experience in an Australian Public Practice accounting firm
– High competence in preparing and finalizing financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts and individuals
– Outstanding working knowledge on GST, BAS, IAS & other compliance related functions
– Extensive experience working with Xero, Xero Practice Manager and Xero Workpapers
– Excellent written and verbal English business communication skills
– Strong attention to detail, time management, and accounting administration skills
– Strong research, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
Preferred (Nice to Have):
CPA
Project management experience
Experience in writing processes and procedures
