We seek a creative and detail-oriented YouTube Thumbnail Designer with strong writing, virtual assistant, and SEO skills to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design, a strong understanding of visual storytelling, and the ability to create engaging and click-worthy thumbnails that capture the essence of our content. Additionally, they will provide support as a virtual assistant and enhance our content’s SEO performance.
Responsibilities:
Thumbnail Creation:
1. Design and create visually appealing thumbnails for all YouTube videos.
2. Ensure thumbnails are optimized for click-through rates (CTR) and adhere to YouTube’s guidelines.
Brand Consistency:
1. Maintain consistency with the brand’s visual style and identity.
2. Develop a cohesive thumbnail style that aligns with the channel’s theme and target audience.
Collaboration:
1. Work closely with video editors, content creators, and marketing teams to understand the key elements of each video.
2. Incorporate feedback from team members to refine and improve thumbnail designs.
Research and Trends:
1. Stay updated with the latest design trends, YouTube best practices, and competitor analysis.
2. Experiment with new design techniques and strategies to improve engagement.
Software Proficiency:
1. Utilize graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva) to create high-quality thumbnails.
2. Edit and retouch images as needed to enhance visual appeal.
Writing and Content Support:
1. Write compelling and SEO-friendly titles, descriptions, and tags for YouTube videos.
2. Assist with writing scripts, video outlines, and social media posts.
Virtual Assistant Tasks:
1. Manage email correspondence and schedule meetings.
2. Organize and maintain digital files and assets.
3. Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support the team.
SEO Optimization:
1. Conduct keyword research to optimize video content for search engines.
2. Implement SEO best practices to improve video rankings and visibility.
3. Monitor and analyze performance metrics to refine SEO strategies.
Requirements:
Experience:
1. Proven experience as a graphic designer, preferably focusing on YouTube or social media thumbnails.
2. Experience in writing, virtual assistance, and SEO optimization.
3. A portfolio showcasing previous work, particularly in creating thumbnails for YouTube or similar platforms.
Skills:
1. Strong graphic design skills with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
2. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Canva.
3. Excellent writing skills focusing on creating engaging and SEO-friendly content.
4. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage virtual assistant tasks.
5. Knowledge of SEO best practices and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush).
Creativity:
1. Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and generate innovative design ideas.
2. Strong visual storytelling skills to effectively communicate the essence of the video through thumbnails.
Communication:
1. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with various departments.
2. Ability to take constructive feedback and make necessary revisions.
Knowledge:
1. Understanding YouTube’s platform, algorithms, and best practices for maximizing CTR.
2. Familiarity with social media trends and audience preferences.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
2. Experience with motion graphics or video editing.
3. Additional training or certification in SEO.
