Ruby on Rails Developer

We are seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in developing scalable, efficient, and high-quality web applications using Ruby on Rails. The successful candidate will have expertise in Active Admin Framework, Postgre SQL, JSON structure, and third-party integrations via API/Webhooks. Knowledge of AWS services is a plus.

This role is a temporary – 90 day – role with a possible 30 day extention.

Responsibilities:
– Design and develop, and deploy web applications using Ruby on Rails
– Work with Active Admin Framework to build robust and user-friendly administrative interfaces.
– Utilize Postgre SQL to design and implement relational databases.
– Implement JSON structure for data exchange and manipulation.
– Integrate third-party services via API/Webhooks
– Utilize Active Records and callbacks to optimize database interactions
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify project requirement
– Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
– Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the overall codebase
– Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
Requirements:
– 3-4 years of experience in Ruby on Rails development
– Strong understanding of Ruby on Rails fundamentals, including MVC architecture and ORM
– Experience with Active Admin Framework
– Proficiency in Postgre SQL and relational databases
– Familiarity with JSON structure and data manipulation
– Experience with third-party integrations via API/Webhooks
– Knowledge of Active Records and callbacks
– Strong understanding of software development principles and patterns
– Experience with version control systems such as Git
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
– Strong communication and collaboration skills
– Knowledge of AWS services is a plus
Nice to Have:
– Experience with containerization using Docker
– Familiarity with front-end technologies such as React or Angular
– Knowledge of security best practices and authentication protocols
– Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
