Job Description

Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Hey there. We are Second Spring Digital, an agency and software company for owners of health clinics, based on the East Coast of Canada.

The problem the clinic owners have is this: Clinic owners, trained in healthcare, often struggle to achieve their dream practice and lifestyle because they lack business expertise. They have trouble setting goals, tracking results, optimizing clinic processes, and balancing tech and human resources. And they really struggle with effective, cost effective marketing!

That’s where we come in.

We have a different approach, where we help them get found by their ideal patients, book more appointments and measure end-to-end results with Marketing, Software & Strategy Solutions.

They love what we are doing, and we are getting set to crank up our customer acquisition. And that’s where you will come in.

We need an experienced (3+ years) Sales Development Representative (SDR) to conduct research, augment list data, reach out to prospects and book meetings. You will target physiotherapists, chiropractors, psychiatrists, psychologists, and counselors who own small to medium-sized clinics in North America. By analyzing their digital presence, the SDR will identify potential areas of improvement and reach out with value-based offers.

In particular, you will get to

Enrich Data: Use online tools and databases to enrich our list data for clinic owners within the specified healthcare sectors in North America.
Digital Presence Research: Run a simple but powerful set of tests to collect data about the business (e.g. website, SEO performance, mobile, advertising) to identify potential areas of improvement for their businesses.
Outbound Outreach: Engage with prospects through email campaigns, and social media outreach.
Follow-Ups: Conduct a series of outreaches to book meetings as primary CTA, degrading to offering some free resources as a secondary CTA if unresponsive on primary.
Maintain CRM: Consistently log and maintain records of all engagements and interactions in our CRM (HubSpot).
Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and digital teams to refine outreach strategies and value propositions.

Now let’s talk about the good stuff:
The work is fun, fresh and dynamic. You will be working directly for our founder, Scott, and helping him scale up the business.
We aren’t big on stress. So, while we will expect you to work efficiently and get things done, we focus on open communication and getting things done right the first go around.
The hours are pretty flexible. We work Eastern time (North America) and can get by with 4-5 hours a day of overlap as long as your written and asynchronous communications are good, and you are meeting your goals. We will work with your schedule to get a routine that works for you.
There’s the potential to earn your way to a team lead role as we grow the global team further.

Now, let’s talk about the job requirements:
You need to be the type of person who gets joy out of getting things done. Every day, you grab 20/30/more new businesses from the list, and get the customized outreaches started. Perfect is a bad word here – we want a quantity of good work done every day.
You need to be a person who loves to deliver remarkable experiences to other people. You know, you need to be someone who feels good by making other people feel good.
You need to nail down the details. You don’t need to race through work and get things done half assed. We need you to slow things down some, and generally get things done right. A quantity of quality – that’s what we are looking for.
We want you to have a continuous improvement mindset – for you, and the company. We have some decent processes documented already, and some cool automations in place. We want to keep improving our processes, until you can just take tasks and get ’em done without involving Scott.

Our office is casual, but we do expect professionalism and punctuality.

But what we don’t expect is perfection. We expect intelligence, energy, and a get it done attitude. When you have questions, you will find the answers with a quick ping to anyone else on our team.

If this is a job that gets you so excited that you would even do it for free, we would totally accept that offer from you. But if you prefer compensation (and we totally get it…we prefer getting paid as well) this is what we offer: This is a full time, marketing specialist job. The pay is $8 -$10 an hour based on fit, and the hours will be 40 a week. Generally 8 hours x 5 days, but we can be flexible there somewhat as long as stuff is getting done.

In addition to being a detailed person, you must follow systems and processes. In fact, just to prove that you are detail oriented and can follow procedures, when you apply for this position you must include “Fredericton” in the subject line of your application. Yep, that’s our little trick to sort out the people who blanket send their resume to anyone and everyone, from the folks (that’s you) who are truly interested in this position. P.S. Fredericton is the name of the city where we headquarter in Canada. We don’t need you to come here, but at least acknowledge it in your subject line.

We are looking to bring our new colleague on board as soon as possible, but we will spend the necessary time to find the best fit both in abilities and culturally. One thing that will give you a BIG leg up (but is optional) is to send a quick video in along with your resume. In your video tell us why you think you’re perfect for this job and why you will rock this position. This is purely for us to get a sense of your personality. And if you decide not to send a video (that’s ok), please tell us why you chose not to send in a video.

We can’t wait to meet you!!!
