Job Description

I am seeking a detail-oriented and well-spoken Scheduler / Medical Biller / Virtual Assistant. The ideal candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Night shift work 12am – 8am in the Philippines (US hours 9am to 5pm)

Key Responsibilities:
Answering and returning calls
Performing data entry tasks
Updating patient charts, scribe, documentation
Managing email and fax communications
Calendar management

DATA ENTRY:
– Process intake forms
– Chart preparation for new patients and completion of documents needed

MEDICAL BILLING:
– Insurance verification
– Accounts receivable
– Payment posting
– Process claims accurately and efficiently
– Follow up on denied claims and work to resolve billing issues
– Maintain detailed records and documentation of billing processes
– Communicate effectively with patients, and insurance companies

OTHER DUTIES:
– Follow up on credentialing status
– Order medications by calling the pharmacy
– Preferred but now required: digital marketing, social media management

Qualifications:
Experience in a similar role is preferred but not required; willing to train the right candidate.
Detail oriented, strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in using office software and tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Google sheet, Google docs)
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality,
A proactive and self-motivated attitude
Ability to master new ideas or systems quickly
Willingness to undergo a background check.
Friendly positive personality, confident pleasant voice.
HIPAA compliant, reliable computer and internet access

About the company:
The company is a new mental health clinic providing mental health services to patients in the US. I am looking for a permanent candidate, part-time or full-time position, who can provide comprehensive support across all tasks as we establish our new practice. Initially, you will assist with a wide range of responsibilities. However, as our company grows, I plan to add more staff, allowing for task specialization based on individual strengths and preferences.
