Script Writer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Script Writer to join our team on a project basis, focusing on real-life survival stories. The ideal candidate will craft engaging scripts that captivate our audience with detailed narratives, emotional depth, and authentic character quotes. This role requires thorough research, creative storytelling, and adherence to specific scripting guidelines to ensure each script is both informative and emotionally resonant.

Project Details:

Initial Project Scope: 20 scripts
Compensation: 1,100-1,200 PHP/script, with potential for more projects based on performance
Script Length: 2000-3500 words, prioritizing detail and narrative depth over word count

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive research to develop accurate and engaging survival story scripts.
Write scripts within the 2000-3500 word range, ensuring they cover all necessary details and adhere to our scripting guidelines.
Incorporate original quotes from characters, narrative insights, and creative comparisons to enhance storytelling.
Work independently, with feedback and revisions provided by the project manager.

Scriptwriting Guidelines:

Script Length and Structure: Scripts should aim for 2000-3500 words, with a focus on covering all relevant details. Start a new paragraph after every sentence, except for direct character quotes.
Introduction: Craft a 100-120 word introduction that outlines the video’s content, including a brief description, main challenge, timeframe, and a human aspect. End with a teaser to engage viewers.
Original Quotes: Include at least 5 relevant quotes from characters to add authenticity and emotional depth.
Narrative Insight Breaks and Humor: Integrate 2 narrative insight breaks for educational explanations and 2 action-reflection segments with a humorous twist to engage the audience.
Comparative Elements: Use creative comparisons and historical context analysis to enrich the narrative.
Engage & Choose Guidelines: Incorporate an “Engage & Choose” Q&A segment within the script to boost viewer interaction.

These are just a few guidelines, however, a full SOP is provided.

Qualifications:

Experience in scriptwriting, preferably with a focus on real-life stories or similar genres.
Ability to conduct thorough research and integrate findings into compelling narratives.
Strong storytelling skills, with an emphasis on emotional engagement and character development.
Familiarity with video scriptwriting is an advantage.
Ability to meet deadlines, with an expected turnaround of 3-5 scripts weekly.

Application Process:

Submit samples from your portfolio, especially those related to survival stories or true crime.
Selected candidates will be asked to complete a test script, compensated at 1100 PHP.
Compensation and Terms:

1100-1200 PHP per script for the initial 20 scripts.
Fully remote position.
Feedback and revisions will be communicated directly by the project manager.
