Script Writer – YouTube History Channel

We are looking for a dedicated script writer for our faceless YouTube channel. The channel primarily focuses on history and will feature content in English. This is a contemporary channel where stories of historical figures will be told in an adapted style for the modern age with the help of animated AI footage.

Roles and Responsibilities

– Independently researching and crafting scripts that narrate the stories of historical personalities in a manner appealing to a modern audience.
– In-depth research about the topic by watching other YouTube videos on similar topics, reading related articles from Google and other sources.
– Collaborating with the video team to ensure that the script and visual elements are well-coordinated.
– Ensuring that all scripts comply with YouTube policies to avoid any strikes on the channel.
– Meeting weekly deadlines for script creation. Preferably 2 scripts per week. However, we put quality over quantity.
– Understanding of how to format content ideally for Youtube, how to move people to action and how to build up tension with climax
– Communicating via the Discord server on text channels and utilizing Notion for project management. These two softwares are crucial.

Preferred Candidate Profile

– Proven work experience with a portfolio.
– Excellent written communication skills in English.
– Creative mind and storytelling skills.
– Good understanding of creating engaging and informative content.
– Ability to explain complex historical topics in a simple manner understandable to a broad audience.
– Continuously discovering and implementing new writing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency.
