BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

ROLE:
The Sales Development Representative plays a crucial role in our customer acquisition strategy. Their primary responsibility is to engage with warm leads through text and email, with the aim of qualifying them and scheduling the next conversation. Beyond just sales, they are trusted resources who establish meaningful relationships with prospects.
Our Sales Development Representatives recognize that they serve as the initial face of our company to potential customers. Consequently, they must exemplify professionalism, effective communication, and the ability to build strong rapport. They understand that the sales process is a carefully choreographed journey with multiple stages, each designed to leave the customer eager to make a purchase by the end of it.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships
Consistently schedule qualified meetings
Move all prospects to the proper stage of the pipeline via CRM throughout the day
Maintain a clear, up to date and accurate pipeline in CRM
Follow up diligently and consistently with potential customers over extended periods of time
Document all interactions with all prospects in the CRM
Available most days from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. local time
Use both internal and external resources to maintain up-to-date knowledge of our products and industry
Be mindful of any emerging patterns of negative feedback from prospects and report to the Manager
Collaborate with Lead and Abe to ensure smooth transitions from prospect to qualified opportunity
RESULTS:
All prospects are properly moved in CRM and information is documented on client details so the sales manager has proper expectations by EOD (End of day)
All qualified prospects are consistently followed up with indefinitely
The stats sheet is updated Daily
There is an effective line of communication between leadership with all necessary information in a timely manner
BDSs remain well-versed in the latest product offerings through continued education/training
All internal communication cycles are properly followed
REQUIREMENTS:
Exceptional using text & email
Experience with business to business (B2B) sales (1-2+ years)
Excellent communication skills
Excellent at building rapport through text & email
Open to learning new processes
Are routine driven
Open to growing rapidly
Self-sufficient and able to properly manage one’s own time
Well-organized and able to maintain a pipeline that can be observed and understood
SALARY:
$5/hour up to 10-20 hours per week.
