Role Description
This full-time role is for Securities Lawyers and Regulatory Compliance Experts. This is a remote position, responsible for overseeing compliance with federal and state securities laws and regulations. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting, advising, and ensuring adherence to securities laws, conducting research and analyzing related legal issues, conducting internal investigations and audits, interacting with regulatory bodies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and providing training to stakeholders on regulatory compliance and other legal matters. We are also involved in helping to structure our clients transactions and operations so as to minimize taxes and risk exposure. We also support digital asset focused companies in the mining, DeFi, blockchain, asset management, and technology space on a global scale. Our team also supports global economic development projects primarily in Africa focused on all sectors of industry in cooperation with our global partners.
Lawyer Qualifications
JD from an accredited law school or its equivalent internationally
Minimum of 3 years of experience working on securities law and compliance matters
Expertise in federal and state securities laws and regulations
Experience in providing legal advice on disclosure issues, corporate governance, and general corporate matters and experience with regulatory issues
Experience with fine-tuning of select government responses, the successful management of government audits and investigations, and drafting critical regulatory submissions
Excellent analytical and research skills, with the ability to solve complex problems and deliver pragmatic legal advice in a timely manner and within budget
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to present complex legal and compliance matters in an understandable manner for multiple levels of stakeholders
Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage priorities in a fast-paced workplace
Able to work full time Eastern Time Zone
