What you’ll do

GHS is looking for Full-Time Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analysts to work remotely on a rotating shift schedule. Responsibilities for this role include (but not limited to):

– Day-to-day operational tasks related to the ongoing support of Cyber Operations in a multi-tenant environment.
– Assistance with Tier 1 & Tier 2 tickets, communicating with clients, resolving issues, and tracking escalations.
– Tracking and assigning tickets/events to the Cyber Security Team.
– Documenting the incident life cycle, escalation, and providing support to clients during cyber incidents.
– Creating filters, reports, dashboards, and alerts in support of Cyber Operations.
– Analyzing and discerning potential threats from multiple sources.

Who you are

– You are a recent graduate (or have equivalent work experience) with an I.T. or CyberSecurity Background.
– You are a versatile team player and enjoy working in a fast-paced team atmosphere.
– You are excellent at adhering to commitments, managing priorities and escalations.
– You have strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

What you should have

– Up to 2 years of experience in Computer Security, Network Security, or Information Security Operations.
– Knowledge of information systems and networking technologies, demonstrating understanding related to the functionality of,
secure configuration of, and security logs produced by those information systems.
– Experience in Customer Support or Technical Support experience, working with users over the phone, via email, or live chat.
– Experience analyzing events and incidents related to IT security.
– Discernment in handling tickets on what to escalate and prioritize.
– Experience with SOC technologies would be an advantage.
– Proficiency in a wide range of technologies would be nice to have.
– SIEM experience – creating alerts, reports, dashboards, rules, and tuning correlation rules would be a big plus.
