We’re on the hunt for a dedicated video editor to take on two exciting roles:
1) Crafting captivating POV car review videos for our YouTube audience.
2) Adapting our engaging YouTube content for the vibrant communities on Instagram and TikTok. If you’re passionate about automotive content and ready to bring your editing skills to the next level, we want to hear from you!
This role requires about 30 hours per week on average.
You’ll be working closely with me and the rest of our team, including our social media managers and editors. We place a high value on qualities like attention to detail, thoroughness, strong communication skills, integrity, organization, and meticulousness. Being prompt is also incredibly important to us. JOB REQUIREMENTS
– Focused on details, articulate, and capable of following directions;
– Trustworthy and responsible. Be consistent in actions and words;
– Creative and organized, with an ability to independently solve problems;
– Proficient with Final Cut or Adobe editing suite;
– High-performance computer (suitable for editing 4K footage);
– High-speed internet connection;
– Skilled in color correction and grading;
– Experienced in Photoshop (for creating thumbnails).
MY WORKFLOW
1. I will provide video and separate audio files. Check out the Jubbal & Cars YouTube channel to understand the format;
2. Videos are unscripted, shot with a GoPro (head-mounted) and an iPhone for B-roll, with audio recorded on a separate DR10L device;
3. Submit a polished, YouTube-ready first draft, including color correction, cuts, transitions, text, B-roll, and three thumbnail options;
4. I’ll review the first draft and thumbnails, and usually, the second draft is ready for YouTube publication. A third draft may sometimes be needed;
5. Our team will handle YouTube uploading and publishing.
The above applies to Jubbal & Cars YouTube content. For repurposing old content, editing involves vertical cropping, captioning, and adjusting to fit within 60 seconds.
Initially, you’ll receive plenty of guidance on style and expectations to ensure you hit the ground running. As you gain experience, you’ll enjoy increasing autonomy to make independent creative decisions that showcase your talent.
