FULL TIME VIRTUAL MARKETING ASSISTANT // LIZ CASKEY CULINARY & WINE EXPERIENCES

Hi there! We are seeking a full time, remote marketing assistant with a results driven past to assist the founder in growing the company’s current marketing programs for Liz Caskey Culinary & Wine Experiences, leaders in culinary & wine travel .

You will be responsible for coordinating a multitude of ongoing tasks and duties, most of which are of the highly creative nature: building our new website and e-shop; brand building, creating travel & wine story videos in conjunction with our founder Liz Caskey, POS Materials, collateral marketing brochures and materials for our trips & wines we import/sell in the US; oversee editorial calendar and publishing of our weekly newsletter and podcast, blog posting and so on.

The right candidate will fit well into this rapid-fire travel & wine business made up of a handful of creative, 100% remote workers. The candidate must excel at attention to detail, clear communication and at storytelling through the lens of various platforms and most importantly a travel, wine, and design-centric angle. This person also can maneuver through the rapid changes and continue to assist in increasing productivity through creative problem solving and thinking. A clear understanding of how to assist a highly creative founder with a rapid firing brain, is a must.

This is a great opportunity for the right person to delve deeper into the both the travel, wine, and media industries and participate in the creative and planning stages of brand creation/building/maintenance and help us achieve cohesive and economical marketing and PR tactics at the intersection of travel and wine in South America, California, and beyond.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
-SELF-STARTER & TAKE INITIATIVE: We are not looking for someone to be told what to do. The founder is looking for someone to not only deliver tasks yet see how they can go above and beyond to anticipate what needs to be done, leverage idle time, create systems and processes in marketing, and ultimately, drive more revenue for the business.
Create systems and processes for all marketing activities. This is a PILLAR of this position so that our marketing, editorial and content creation becomes consistent.
-Up-to-date on trending digital marketing platforms and techniques like social media (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn)
-Experience using software for newsletter publishing like FloDesk, Mailchimp, etc.
-Experience using graphic design software such as Canva and Adode suite
-Experience in podcast production preferable
-Experience with word-processing software and spreadsheets (e.g. MS Office, Google Suite)
-Familiarity with online calendar management and editorial calendar planning.
-Ability to work independently and in an entrepreneurial environment with strong project management and organizational skills
-Strong copy editing and writing skills in English – examples of portfolios will be requested.
-Brand and voice management skills (Be able to quickly grasp the brand, brand voice and brand strategy for each of the two different brands)–examples of previous work will be requested
-Excellent eye for detail and superb organizational skills
-Takes ownership for work and enjoys problem solving and presenting solutions to Founder–not for them to resolve for you.
-Passionate about travel, food, wine with concrete, demonstrated experience and examples. Plus if in South American culture
-Knowledge of Spanish a plus

MORE INFORMATION:

A quick snapshot of the person we need would be someone who can quickly pull together the components for one of our educational videos by calling to mind photos and footage from our organized and extensive database, writing a quick script in the voice and structure of the brand and organizing said brand assets into an easy-to-understand fashion for our video creator/editor. Other days you may need to quickly throw together a newsletter, plan the monthly social media calendar, liaise with other freelancers on the LCCWE team for upcoming podcast episodes to be published, get quotes from the printer, organize and track expenses, assist in the development, execution and marketing of new packaging concepts, laisse in website design, aid in the organization of online wine tastings or in-store demos, edit and upload trip itineraries, e-shop product descriptions, and blog posts including photos onto the website and keep all files clearly organized inside the company’s internal systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Document all administrative procedures & then follow those procedures–THIS IS THE CORNERSTONE. EVERYTHING YOU DO MUST BE DOCUMENTED AS A PROCESS WITHIN A SYSTEM AND FOLLOWED IF THE SYSTEM DOES NOT ALREADY EXIST.

-Photo Editing, Photo/Video Clip Organization & Labeling
-General Scheduling and Project Timeline Management
-Liaise for Website Design with Founder, Designers & Programmers
-Social Media Management, Social Media Strategy/Reels & Supervise Social Media Posters
-Customer Marketing Liaising
General Communication Liaison
-Market Research (compiling/reporting on buying trends, food trends)
-Help create and expand new brand/company talking points
-Marketing Materials for travel itineraries & wines
-Travel Research & Other Misc. Tasks
-Email management and organization of folders.
-Respond to emails and marketing-related inquiries
-Actively contribute to the growth of the business. Bring forth new ideas and strategies.

-Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, marketing, or relevant field preferred.
-Perfect English and some working knowledge of Spanish is preferred as we work with South America.

ABOUT COMPENSATION:
-Full time, 40 hours per week
-Ability to work from 9am-5pm EST Monday – Friday. Some weekends may be necessary during the busiest months of the year (November – April).
-Bimonthly pay
