The Opportunity:
Alpha Lion is seeking a Senior Accountant who will be an integral part of a growing finance team to bolster processes and improve financial reporting. The finance team is responsible for accurate accounting and reporting for the company, on a weekly and monthly basis. In this role, you will be responsible for processing daily transactions, completing month end closing tasks, and analyzing financial statements. Additionally, this role will also be essential in implementing and improving processes in the finance team.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for day-to-day accounting processes under the leadership of the head of accounting, including coding transactions, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, and responding to team member questions and requests
Maintain month-end close schedules to ensure accurate financial reporting
Prepare and analyze financial reports in a timely manner each month
Create and update company processes for improved efficiency
Support team members in special projects related to financial reporting and analysis as assigned

Skills & Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or any related field
Minimum 5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience
Proficient in Xero, NetSuite, and other accounting software
Attention to detail and accuracy in processing and financial analysis
Ability to work as part of an international team and independently in a fast-paced environment
Experience working with e-commerce companies and inventory is preferred
