Then you might be a perfect fit as the Senior Accountant at Anvil Tax, Inc. – a boutique Portland company focused on creating healthy finances and healthy people. Currently, our goal is to strengthen our client relationships and assist them in helping them save money through our advisory services, while actively enhancing our standard operating system. As we are generating valuable services & by-products from our present and upcoming services, including exit planning, tax planning, and more, while promoting value creation.

You’ll have the unique opportunity to receive direct guidance from the Company Owner. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with Team Members who possess the expertise and knowledge to assist your ongoing responsibilities.

Our office will be closed from December 25, 2023, to January 1, 2024.
Rest assured that we will get back to you once we return to the office.

Job Description

Advisor 20-30 hours per week
– Research, update and implement projects directly related to the CEO for the company’s operation and efficiency.
– Collaborating with team members to champion the Advisory Services
– Manage and collaborate hand in hand with assigned 3rd Party Partners.
– Co-lead staff meetings and training.
– Deeper knowledge in advisory who utilizes their expertise for the guidance and benefit of the client.
– Bring vital experience and knowledge in working collaborative with clients to deliver short and long-term success.
Ultimately, ensure all clients receive the highest quality service.
– Work with clients to gain a sense of their mindset & devise tangible solutions and relentless execution.
– Develop appropriate departmental procedures, processes, business practices and projects.

Technologies, operations research and implementation, 5-10 hours per week
– Systems focused- always researching new tools to help us improve our efficiency and communication.
– Test, document, review and implement new software programs identified by CEO.

Accounting projects, 2-5 hours per week
– Office & Client communications
– Bookkeeping responsibilities and oversee the accounts of several clients.
– Assisting other team members with Ad-hoc projects.

Requirements
– End-to-end bookkeeping experience
– A natural leader and problem solver with good personality.
– Can lean on decision-making and critical thinking skills with confidence.
– Prior experience as an Advisor and proficient in advisory applications is a plus.
– Proficient in excel and bookkeeping (QBO & Xero) software.
– Excellent communication and people skills.
– Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
– Can research, update and implement projects with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
