The TLTurner Group is an outsourced CFO and accounting firm that supports law firms and other service-based businesses. We aim to make finance and accounting less complicated for business owners. Our business utilizes remote offshore talent with three bookkeepers, 1 Senior Accountant based in the Philippines, and another Senior Accountant based in the United States. We plan to continue growing the practice in bookkeeping and CFO services, so we are looking for an additional accountant who is excited to join the team.
Role Summary: Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant, you will help support our growth and coordinate the client delivery process. We provide an exceptional opportunity to develop professionally through exposure to accounting, FP&A, and CFO analysis projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, good communication skills in English, and a strong knowledge of accounting and financial analysis principles. This role will report directly to the Accounting Manager.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Prepares/reviews bookkeeping services, which may include recording transactions in ledgers and preparing trial balances and financial statements.
Reconcile accounts, create supporting work papers for accounts, and calculate depreciation and amortization schedules.
Updates the onboarding and process manuals for each client
Maintains primary responsibility for assigned clients and client projects while monitoring workflow and due dates for assigned projects
Manages the monthly client reporting process and can clearly articulate the results of a client’s financials to them in a practical and helpful way for them to make decisions in running their business.
Performs an analytical review of client financial statements
Manages the weekly Financial KPI reporting process for clients with a weekly deliverable
Prepares/reviews payroll tax, sales tax, annual reports, and 1099s
Perform semi-annual W-9 audits for each client
Assists in the preparation/review of individual and business tax returns as needed
Handles routine client questions and works with clients to collect necessary information for project completion
Completes research and special projects as needed
Provides timely, high-quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations

BASIC SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
2-5 years of experience in all phases of general accounting, including general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliation, financial statement preparation
Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment
Ability to work closely with clients to answer questions or collect necessary project information.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

CPA license a plus
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English, as well as good computer skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Experience with medium-sized regional accounting firms is a plus
QuickBooks knowledge or ProAdvisor Certification
Experience with Google Sheets
Fluent spanish speaker is a plus but not required
