Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Management Accountant to join our team in Manila, Philippines with a strong emphasis on Australian accounting experience (including GST, payroll, financial standards, etc).

The Senior Management Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing all financial operations, analyzing and reporting financial data, and providing critical support in the strategic decision-making process. This role will directly report to the Finance Manager in Sydney, Australia, and will have two local direct reports reporting to this position.

Responsibilities:
-Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts receivables, accounts payables, general ledger, and payroll.
-Implement and maintain effective internal controls and financial procedures.
-Support the development and implementation of financial systems, policies, and procedures.
-Conduct financial analysis and interpretation to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
-Consolidate financial data from various departments and communicate findings to the Finance Manager.
-Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, including financial statements, variance analysis, and performance metrics.
-Manage a team of two direct reports, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
-Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment to ensure the professional growth and development of the team.
-Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the team’s technical and analytical skills.
-Collaborate closely with the Finance Manager in Sydney, Australia, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
-Coordinate and establish effective business partnerships with the Heads of Operations in Southeast Asia to gather relevant information for financial reporting purposes.

Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
-A minimum of 8 years of experience in finance and accounting roles, with a strong focus on Australian accounting standards and practices, preferably in the field of advertising, marketing, and production.
-Strong knowledge of Australian and international accounting principles and practices, with a solid understanding of financial reporting and analysis.
-Proven experience in managing a team and driving team performance.
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
-Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets, Excel, and other financial software systems.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to senior management and non-financial personnel.
-Ability to work collaboratively in a global, cross-functional team environment.
-Willing to work onsite in Makati City (Hybrid)
