Who we are
We are a 10-year-old e-commerce company based in Puerto Rico. We manufacture,
import and sell a wide range of evergreen apparel and accessories on . The products are sold under multiple brands and range from clothing to socks and soft accessories. We are a market leader in many product categories and our main brand is Pembrook.
We are a small team of 12 and the business is managed by the founder and the COO, and the magic is created by an awesome team in the US, the Philippines, Turkey, Egypt and China.
Responsibilities:
Do all our bookkeeping in QuickBooks – (we have an extra accountant for tax preparation)
Calculate and report on our landed cogs and inventory value on a monthly basis – improve on the existing system
Review, track and file all invoices, payments and shipping documents. (We have 14 factories, 500+ SKUs and 40+ shipments per year)
Produce reports and create presentations/briefs for management or the whole team for our quarterly company calls
Present relevant data in our monthly financial review meeting and provide input on future direction and strategy
Proactively ensure that the company books and financial statements are correct
Liaise with the auditor during the annual financial audit
Provide CEO with payable invoices on a weekly basis
Other relevant tasks as needed
Who we are looking for
Being organized, detail-oriented and confident comes natural to you. You enjoy working with both the big picture financials as well as the more granular invoice checking and file-keeping. You have experience with and know how to manage up and provide leadership with relevant information that ensures sound financial decisions.
You are a team player and someone who wants to see the company and its people succeed. You communicate clearly and effectively and are generally someone who can be relied upon and who can clearly formulate ideas and recommendations.
Formalities about the Position
This is a fairly senior role and we assume that you have at least 7-8 years of relevant experience. Although you will not formally be part of the executive team you will play a central role in advising on the financial management of the business.
You’ll report to the Director of Finance & Business Development
You will have full access to Seller Central, SoStocked, Quickbooks and any other relevant software.
You must be okay with occasional early morning or late evening calls to talk with the team in the Philippines, Europe or on the US East Coast
Your Traits and Experience
Experience with and understanding of the Amazon FBA businesses model
Solid experience with QuickBooks
Experience interfacing with or being part of a leadership team
Organized, detail-oriented and easy to communicate with
Resourcefulness to identify issues, come up with solutions and implement them with minimal input/supervision
Fluent English

What is the current profitability of the company?
What is our profitability at a SKU-level?
How much did we spend on shipping in the last 6 months? How does it compare to the period before?
What is the inventory value at our different warehouses?
How can we break down the financial data to give our employees a high-level understanding of the current situation?
What information in this dataset does the CEO need to make this decision and how can I present this information in the most efficient way?
What tools or software can we use to improve our financial processes or data sets?
What we Offer
Pay: 1500 to 2500 USD per month depending on experience and skills with the potential for a 5-10% year-end target bonus.
