ROLE OVERVIEW
In this role as Senior Accountant of the Accounting and Finance Services team in Manila, you will be responsible for supporting your managers by ensuring that high-quality financial accounting, business advisory, and business management services are provided to our institutional and corporate clients. Your expertise will be integral in driving the success of the team and delivering tailored, specialized outcomes for our clients. You will be required to complete key management accounting and business services tasks in a timely manner, working with your broader team to accomplish an excellent standard of service delivery for our clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Management Accounting:
-Perform key management accounting tasks, including cost analysis, margin analysis, and performance metrics.
-Develop and maintain management accounting reports to assist in decision-making.
-Support clients in understanding their financial performance and identifying areas for improvement.
– Undertake Accounts Payable / Receivable processes (inputting invoices, processing bills, etc.)
– Process and maintain payroll functionality
– Attend to accounts@ inboxes and process inbound requests accordingly.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
-Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
-Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to suit desired stakeholder requirements.
-Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
-Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process for clients, including variance analysis and reporting.
-Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to develop realistic and achievable plans.
-Monitor budget implementation and provide ongoing financial projections and analysis.
Business Advisory:
-Support strategic business advisory services to clients, helping them make informed financial decisions.
-Identify opportunities for business growth and cost savings, and provide actionable recommendations.
-Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support business strategies.
Client Relationship Management:
-Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
-Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing their accounting and business service needs.
-Provide regular updates and reports to clients on their financial status and business performance.
Compliance and Risk Management:
-Ensure all financial practices adhere to legal regulations and company policies.
-Identify and mitigate financial risks through diligent monitoring and control processes.
-Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following experience and
qualifications:
– Software Experience: By familiar with ERP systems like Netsuite, Salesforce etc. while having a strong competence in XERO and/or MYOB
– Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
– Relevant Experience: A minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience within the financial management or accounting industry
– Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of relevant accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
– Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
– Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial management software
– Professional Certification: Professional accounting or finance qualification (e.g. CA, CPA, CFA) is highly desirable.
– Client Management Skills: Strong relationships building and maintanance with clients.
