Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Android Developer to lead the development of a specialized application for an Android-based device designed to function as a secondary display for an iPhone. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a custom Android build that optimally supports real-time video and photo streaming, with a focus on connectivity and user interface simplicity.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and optimize a custom Android application that facilitates the seamless streaming of video and photo content from an iPhone to an Android device.
– Implement robust connectivity solutions that utilize both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to maintain a stable connection between devices.
– Design a user-friendly interface that allows users to control iPhone camera functionalities from the Android device.
– Configure the device to run the application in a kiosk mode, making it the sole operational interface upon startup.
– Ensure the application and device comply with relevant security and privacy regulations.
– Manage the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.
Skills and Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
– Proven experience in Android development, with a strong portfolio of projects that include custom Android ROMs or applications focusing on connectivity and multimedia streaming.
– Expertise in Android frameworks and the ability to build custom Android builds tailored to specific hardware requirements.
– Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Kotlin.
– Experience with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology, including direct connections and networking.
– Knowledge of optimizing applications for performance, including memory management and responsive UI design.
– Ability to work independently and drive project milestones.
Preferred Experience:
– Experience developing applications that interact with iOS devices, particularly in accessing camera functionalities.
– Previous work configuring devices in kiosk mode or developing single-purpose Android devices.
– Familiarity with the regulatory requirements related to mobile application development in both Android and iOS ecosystems.
