Senior Backend Developer

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with expertise in WordPress and WooCommerce to join our team. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend functionality of our WordPress-based websites and WooCommerce-powered e-commerce solutions. Your primary focus will be on creating efficient, scalable, and secure solutions that enhance the user experience and meet our business requirements.

Responsibilities:
– Develop custom WordPress plugins and themes to extend the functionality and appearance of our websites.
– Implement and customize WooCommerce features, such as product catalogs, shopping carts, payment gateways, and order management systems.
– Collaborate with the design and frontend development teams to ensure seamless integration of frontend and backend components.
– Optimize website performance and scalability by implementing caching mechanisms, database optimizations, and server-side improvements.
– Integrate third-party APIs, plugins, and services to enhance website functionality and improve the user experience.
– Troubleshoot and debug issues related to WordPress, WooCommerce, and custom-developed functionalities.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, frontend developers, and project managers, to ensure seamless project delivery.
– Stay up to date with the latest WordPress and WooCommerce developments, best practices, and industry trends.
– Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and standards.
– Assist in website deployment, maintenance, and ongoing support activities.

Requirements:
– Strong proficiency in WordPress and WooCommerce development, including theme and plugin development.
– Proficient in PHP programming language and MySQL database management.
– Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery for frontend development and customization.
