Role: Senior Bookkeeper
Contract: Full-time Remote Contractor (160 hours monthly)
Business Hours: 9 AM – 5:30 PM EST
Rate: $1,100 USD – $1,400 USD monthly

What you’ll do

This role involves working within accounting functions of accounts payable, accounts
receivable, and financial reporting, among others. The ideal candidate is expected to have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles. The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

– Execute meticulous recording of financial transactions and maintain organized and accurate journal entries using the accounting software QuickBooks.
– Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes with precision and timeliness.
– Efficiently manage and reconcile bank accounts to ensure accurate financial records.
– Contribute actively to the reconciliation schedules of the Balance Sheet and Income Statement.
– Conduct thorough fact-checking in accounting processes to ensure data accuracy.
– Promptly notify senior staff of any identified accounting errors for swift resolution.
– To support financial decision-making through comprehensive data analysis and reporting and provide insights into company finances.
– Perform administrative tasks as required to support seamless financial operations.

What you should have

– Minimum of 5 years of experience as a bookkeeper or similar position.
– Extreme attention to detail.
– Strong experience in QuickBooks.
– Ability to work with a high volume of invoices.
– Previous remote work experience for a US company is preferred.
– Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
– Strong communication skills: listening, verbal, and written.
– Superior organization skills and attention to detail.
– Proven ability to work independently, with little oversight, and with accountability for accurate and complete results.
