Our Australian bookkeeping firm is currently expanding its team and is in search of a talented remote senior bookkeeper who is interested in a long-term relationship with our firm.

Requirements:
• Diploma in Accounting: A minimum education level of a Diploma in Accounting is required for this position.
• Xero Proficiency: We require a medium to high level of proficiency in Xero.
• Australian GST Laws: A solid understanding of Australian GST laws at a medium to high level is essential to perform this role effectively.
• Bookkeeping Fundamentals: You should possess a high-level understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals, including debits and credits and the chart of accounts.
• General Ledger Reviews and Data Accuracy Review Exposure: Previous experience in conducting general ledger reviews and ensuring data accuracy will be highly valued.
• BAS and IAS Preparation: While not mandatory, experience in BAS (Business Activity Statement) and IAS (Instalment Activity Statement) preparation would be advantageous.
• High Level of Written English: Excellent written English skills are required as the role involves regular email correspondence with clients to respond to their queries.
• Client-Driven Mindset: A customer-oriented approach with the ability to provide exceptional service and address client needs.
Role Details:
• Full-Time Engagement: The position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, aligned with Australian Eastern Standard Time based on the NSW Time Zone.
• Advanced Skills: The role is ideally suited to self-assured candidates who possess extensive experience, requires minimal training, and may have previously held supervisory positions.
• Daily Remote Staff Meeting: Attendance at the daily remote staff meeting at 9am AEST is required to review work schedules and seek support where required.
• Workload Management: Full support and client handover will be provided; however, it is expected that you manage your own workload independently within 2 months.
