Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant for exciting growing UK Firm (work from home)

Job Description

This is an exciting role for someone who has the ability to work from home with a strong Internet connection. We are a professional firm of accountants that offers accounting, tax and bookkeeping services for small businesses all around the UK. We have a small team that are approachable and will be keen to further your development. All of the software and tools we use are online-based bookkeeping apps aswell as office 365 etc.

Your role will provide training on processes and software although ideally, you will have specific experience with cloud bookkeeping software. You will look after the day-to-day bookkeeping for small/medium businesses processing receipts and reconciling bank transactions. More experienced candidates will also prepare general ledger reviews and assisting with VAT preparation for UK VAT returns.

You will be part of a small team and we want to invest in someone for the long term to grow with our business. Candidates with UK-specific experience will be in a strong position.

Please note that candidates that make it through to the shortlist will be asked some additional questions to verify your experience and suitability for the role.

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s/College Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
Required language(s): English

– At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in bookkeeping or accounting (ideally 4 years)
– Required Skill(s): Xero experience desirable, Receipt bank experience desirable, Ideally minimum 3 years bookkeeping experience, Accounting experience an advantage, Attention to detail a must, Good attitude (can do)
– Must be confident with online software/apps
– Must be able to work from home
– Will ideally have a designated PC/laptop for work use with adequate specification
– Must have a suitable internet connection (ideally 8mb download and 1mb upload+)
– Be available UK time from 10am to 12pm for slack messages etc if needed but apart from this you can manage your own time from home etc
