Senior DevOps Engineer

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, and Postgres SQL databases. You will be responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of our systems while leading initiatives to improve our DevOps practices. Your strong coding foundation will help you automate processes and enhance system reliability. Additionally, you will guide and mentor junior team members, contributing to their growth and the overall success of the team.

What’s the role?

– Design, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure, ensuring high availability and scalability.
– Maintain and optimize Kubernetes clusters for efficient orchestration of containerized applications.
– Administer and fine-tune Postgres SQL databases for optimal performance and reliability.
– Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
– Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes.
– Monitor system performance, detect and resolve issues, and ensure high uptime and reliability.
– Ensure the security of the infrastructure by implementing best practices and conducting regular audits.
– Lead projects related to service on the edge, data warehouses, and other critical infrastructure components.
– Collaborate with development teams to improve code readability, latency, and overall application performance.
– Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior DevOps engineers.

Who are we looking for?

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
– Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on AWS, Kubernetes, and Postgres SQL.
– Solid coding foundation, with proficiency in languages such as Python, Go, or Shell scripting.
– Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
– Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
– Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for both applications and databases.
– Experience with service on the edge and data warehouse solutions.
– Excellent understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security measures.
– Proven leadership skills with experience leading projects and mentoring junior team members.
– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) .
Experience with additional database technologies (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB) .
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) .
Experience with serverless architecture and microservices.
