Senior DevOps Engineer – Short-Term Project (2-3 Weeks)

Project Overview

We are seeking a senior DevOps engineer for a short-term project lasting 2-3 weeks. This is a high-intensity sprint with a substantial bounty tied to successful completion. While there may be potential for future work, the primary focus is on rapidly implementing planned changes to an existing system.

Required Skills and Experience

Expert-level knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines
Proficiency in containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)
Strong background in Python (version 2.7)
Familiarity with RabbitMQ, MySQL, and MongoDB
Experience with CentOS 7
Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
Experience in building custom monitoring dashboards for complex backend systems
Knowledge of monitoring tools and best practices

Desired Skills

Web scraping experience
Knowledge of system scalability and distributed architectures
Familiarity with data visualization libraries and tools

Project Scope

Implement CI/CD pipelines for multiple unique systems
Containerize existing applications for improved scalability
Optimize a distributed system using RabbitMQ for message queuing
Develop an automated code synchronization system across multiple nodes
Implement auto-scaling capabilities for consumer nodes
Evaluate and potentially upgrade the existing Python 2.7 codebase
Design and build a custom monitoring dashboard for the entire backend system
