Job Summary
The Senior Finance Associate is essential in managing our global financial operations and maintaining the financial health of our international affiliates. This role focuses on accurate bookkeeping, managing payables and receivables to optimize international cash flow, and producing analytical reports for internal stakeholders like owners and managers, aiding in strategic decision-making. Responsibilities also include overseeing global bank transactions, from account management to reconciliations and payments, ensuring smooth financial operations worldwide. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of global finance, the ability to work independently, and the capability to synthesize complex financial data into actionable insights for internal decision-making, all while maintaining effective communication and organizational skills.
Job Responsibilities:
– Develop and maintain comprehensive financial reports that provide insight into global operations.
– Regularly update financial spreadsheets and reports with real-time data to reflect the current financial status of international operations.
– Manage and oversee global bank accounts, ensuring meticulous reconciliation and prompt resolution of discrepancies. This includes the creation and management of bank cards, overseeing transactions, and maintaining the integrity and security of financial movements
– Oversee the accuracy of global account records, manage invoicing processes efficiently, and ensure timely payments to and from international affiliates, while fostering strong relationships with customers and suppliers to enhance financial operations and collaboration.
– Work closely with teams worldwide to quickly identify and resolve accounting discrepancies, ensuring financial integrity across all operations.
– Maintain an on-time monthly close calendar.
– Utilize advanced analytical skills to interpret financial data from global operations, supporting audits and reviews by providing accurate and detailed financial records.
– Provide comprehensive financial reports and insights to the Global Finance Head and Local Finance Manager, ensuring timely and accurate updates on financial performance, budget adherence, and strategic financial recommendations to support decision-making processes at both global and local levels.
Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a similar field.
– At least 3 years of experience in finance or accounting-related positions, demonstrating a proven track record of managing financial records and analyzing financial data.
– With extensive experience in bookkeeping for multiple related international companies is required, demonstrating a capacity to handle complex financial records across different jurisdictions and currencies.
– Proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel is essential. Candidates should be comfortable with at least basic functions, such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
– Strong knowledge of Xero
– Strong communication skills
– Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
– Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
– Amenable for a hybrid work set-up in our office in IT Park, Cebu City
