Senior Financial Controller
Job Summary:
As a senior controller at our company, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations and strategies to ensure the company’s financial stability and success. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing financial policies, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic recommendations. This position requires a strong background in finance, exceptional leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
Responsibilities:
– Financial Management: Oversee all financial aspects of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and analysis.
– Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
– Financial Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to identify areas for improvement, cost-saving opportunities, and potential risks.
– Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies and key performance indicators.
– Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
– Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks through the implementation of appropriate risk management strategies.
– Cash Flow Management: Optimize cash flow by monitoring cash position, analyzing cash flow patterns, and implementing cash management strategies.
– Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
– Audit Coordination: Coordinate and collaborate with external auditors during the planning and execution of audits.
– Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluation.
– Financial Systems: Manage and leverage financial systems and software to streamline processes, enhance data integrity, and improve reporting accuracy.
– Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.
– Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders, including senior management, executives, and board members.
– Team Management: Will help manage a team of 1 to 2 offshore bookkeepers to help keep the books up to date.
– Reporting: Will report to a US-based CFO
Requirements:
Experience working with a manufacturing company is a must.
5 years working in a control position.
CPA certification.
Able to manage the accounting for companies of $10M to $50M.
Excellent knowledge of financial regulations, compliance practices, and reporting requirements.
Proficiency in financial systems and software.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional communication skills – English C2.
Must know how to work in Quickbooks.
Highly analytical and organizational skills.
Available to work during EST (9am to 5pm)
