Senior Laravel Developer

We’re looking for an experienced, full-time Senior Laravel Developer to join our 100% remote team. As a Senior Laravel Developer, you will be responsible for analyzing requirements that support the business, building software components, and delivering the solution along with the Tech team and Lead Developer. You will troubleshoot and deploy hotfixes as needed or, more routinely, work on regular tasks, features, and projects based on a technical roadmap.

Responsibilities:
– Work in conjunction with the rest of the Tech team and Lead Developer to build, manage, and maintain a growing list of websites in the lead generation and affiliate marketing industry
– Helping to translate business tasks, conversations, and problem statements into development projects, tasks, and milestones
– Assist junior and mid developers as needed with issue resolution, debugging, and other mentoring-type behavior that is expected of a senior-level engineer
– Experience and comfort working in a high-availability, volume-driven, time-sensitive work environment with the ability to handle multiple issues and/or tasks simultaneously
– Assist the Lead Developer in brainstorming new features, ideas, implementations, and bug fixes as needed

Qualifications:
– Minimum of 6 years of solid PHP development experience with at least 2 years in a senior-level role
– Minimum of 3 years of experience with Laravel and MVC frameworks with a strong understanding of MVC framework methodologies and OOP design paradigms
– Expert knowledge and experience with MySQL, AJAX, JavaScript (and popular libraries, e.g. jQuery), and related, modern web technologies
– Solid understanding of RESTful web services and REST API design principles (both integrating 3rd party APIs and developing in-house APIs for external use)
– Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap) to integrate designs and make minor modifications as necessary (you will not be designing – we have a UI/UX Designer who will supply HTML/CSS/designs)
– Comfort and familiarity working in a multi-developer environment with Git version control following a loose agile project management style
– Experience porting legacy PHP code over to Laravel a plus, but not required
– Familiarity with the affiliate marketing and lead generation industry is a plus, but not required
– Experience working with statistical data and large data sets (millions of records) is preferred, but not required
– Excellent oral and written communication skills to keep the PH-based tech team, as well as the company in general, updated with issues, features, and projects in various stages of development
– BS in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not required
