The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
– Ensure all processes are made for the execution of shipments through your area of responsibility
– Experience or understanding US based 3PL (transportation brokerage)
– Cover the transportation of our clients with carriers
– Monitor carrier performance
– Grow carrier network
– Establish (with help) logical procurement practice for carrier network growth
– Gain as many beneficial relationships in the carrier community needed to service our clients transportation
– Act as a resource for peers
– Create and document standard operating processes
– Assist in the facilitation of cross training within assigned team
– Responsible for meeting operational targets within a particular region, mode, business unit, or account
– Calls, meetings, and internal systems trainings with carrier leadership and vendors
Utilize prior knowledge and ask questions to identify and solve problems
– Collaborate with your peers to pursue a clear defined objective in any project based work
– Player coach in small sized operations-focused continuous improvement projects
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
MUST HAVE US BASED 3PL EXPERIENCE WORKING DIRECTLY WITH NEGOTIATING PRICING WITH TRANSPORTATION PROVIDERS
Minimum 3 years of professional experience
English, must be fluent (written and verbal)
Preferred Experience
Knowledge in supply chain, transportation, and/or transportation management
Customer service experience
Ability to think critically, perform analysis and solve problems
identify patterns, seek data, create data, learn from data
Ability to work in a team oriented and fast-paced environment
Demonstrate project management capabilities and help others along the way
Ability to gather, translate and act upon voice of customer
Composure and poise in a customer-centric environment
Ability to embrace a growing environment
Ability to direct activities of small work group or lead by example
Desire to be better than we were yesterday and actively contribute to continuous improvement
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
