Ballard Products, LLC is a family-owned ecommerce company that supplies diverse household goods to buyers across the United States and Canada. Our main focus is developing strategic partnerships with manufacturers and brand owners to become the exclusive or semi-exclusive sellers of the brand on Amazon and provide significant marketing resources in addition to order fulfillment. Founded in 2017 by two brothers, we remain focused on building a tight-knit team that is prepared to evolve with the ecommerce landscape.

We are seeking a Senior Multimedia Designer to lead the Media Team and develop compelling and converting visual assets for these partner brands. Assets include: listing images, short videos for listings and ads, layouts & banners for Brand Stores, and more. In addition to strong solo production capabilities, the Senior Multimedia Designer must also be capable of developing concepts and delegating production to junior artists or contractors. The Senior Multimedia Designer will be a dual position with both leadership and direct asset production responsibilities. An ideal candidate will be someone looking to develop their leadership and art direction skills as the company grows without giving up their finely honed production skills. A great candidate will be an avid student of ecommerce best-practices and enjoy optimizing our content strategies for maximum effectiveness.

Schedule: Full time, 9am-5pm Eastern Time Zone (EST), Monday-Friday
Pay: $900 – $1,800 USD salary per month + 13th month

Responsibilities and Duties
Current responsibilities will include the below, however the Senior Multimedia Designer position will require adaptability to changing needs:

– Supervise and assist in creation of visual assets (images, A+ content, videos) for Amazon listing pages, posts, and brand stores, including direct work and delegating to junior artists or contractors with final review
– Optimize listing designs to maximize conversions and ensure compliance with Amazon’s policies
– Ensure visual assets adhere to established brand style guides
– Develop branding style guides for Brand Partners that are unable to provide them
– Continuously innovate asset designs based on industry trends and evolving marketplace needs
– Coordinate closely with in house Brand Managers to set production schedules and ensure on time delivery
– Development of in-house marketing materials in partnership with Sales team
– Assist in the development of workflows and pipelines to streamline production
– Lead weekly Media Team meeting to drive process improvement

Qualifications
– 5+ years of visual media production experience
– 2+ years experience in Ecommerce media production preferred
– Strong ability to develop and maintain a consistent visual style
– Ability to lead a small team of artists and delegate work appropriately
– Project Management experience a plus
– Ability to storyboard and edit a simple video
– Expert level Adobe Photoshop skills
– Intermediate Adobe Premiere or After Effects skills
– Familiarity with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) principles a plus

Question 1: Our production environment does not always guarantee a large set of quality assets to work with. How would you overcome this limitation and still create professional, compelling finished designs?

Question 2: One week we will be creating imagery for a candy bar, the next week we will be creating a motion graphic for kids shampoo. This offers a very diverse design experience but requires a highly adaptable, creative mind. Are you up to this challenge and why?

Question 3: This job will require taking projects from initial concept to finished assets. Along the way, you will need to lead a small remote team and delegate tasks to other artists using our project management software, ClickUp. While taking a project from start to finish, where would you be strongest and where would you be weakest?
