Overview:
As a Senior Operations Manager in the wholesale and retail sector. Your primary focus will be in optimizing efficiency, streamlining processes, and ensuring smooth operations to meet the demands of the clients. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Strategy:
Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize operational efficiency and productivity in the wholesale and retail department.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance workflow and streamline operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational objectives with overall business goals.
Supply Chain Management:
Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution.
Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Optimize inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing carrying costs and stockouts.
Order Fulfillment:
Develop and implement order fulfillment processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.
Monitor order status and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery to wholesale clients.
Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders, shipments, or deliveries.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale clients, understanding their needs and preferences.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely manner.
Collaborate with sales and account management teams to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and motivate the operations team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to help team members reach their full potential.
Quality Assurance:
Implement quality assurance processes to ensure product quality and consistency.
Monitor quality metrics and implement corrective actions as needed to address any issues or deviations.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain compliance with quality standards and regulations.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Identify and mitigate operational risks to minimize disruptions and losses.
Implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and maintain operational integrity.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Proven experience in wholesale/retail operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in supply chain management software and other relevant tools.
Thorough understanding of wholesale industry dynamics, trends, and best practices.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
