They are dedicated to providing top-tier property management services and are seeking a highly skilled Senior Property Accountant to join their team as a Senior Accountant VA. This role is crucial for ensuring the financial health and accuracy of the property portfolio.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple properties.
General Ledger Maintenance: Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of property budgets and forecasts, monitoring variances, and providing insightful analysis.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including the processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are addressed promptly.
Tenant Accounting: Oversee tenant billings, collections, and lease administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with lease terms.
Audit Support: Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and resolving any queries.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and standards.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and operations.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in property management or real estate.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in property management software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, AppFolio).
Proficient in general accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Remote Work: Experience working remotely and managing time effectively in a virtual environment.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with US GAAP and property management accounting practices.
Knowledge of real estate industry regulations and standards.
Familiarity with virtual communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack, Microsoft Teams).
